In the trailer of ‘Doom: The Dark Ages’ you can see Executioner Rock wrapped in a fur cloak, swinging his shield and combined arms. A shield parry system, several new weapons and, naturally, a very familiar aesthetic to fans is demonstrated.

The game has been in development for four years and was previously codenamed Year Zero. Early reports spoke of a Medieval-inspired world. As it became clear from the video, this does not correspond to reality.
Recall that Microsoft was previously heavily criticised for closing down several studios under the Bethesda banner. These include the developer of ‘The Evil Within’ Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin, which created ‘Dishonored’ and ‘Prey’.
